Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), the main Government Investment Corporation of Dubai, agreed to buy Porto Montenegro Marina and Resort in Tivat, and the yacht marina and the coastal village of the Montport Capital, was released from the Porto Montenegro.
State investment fund ICD from Dubai of today is officially the new owner of the Porto Montenegro. The Protocol on the handover of Porto Montenegro signed Executive Director ICD, Sheikh Mohammed Al Shaibani and CEO of Adriatic Marinas Oliver Corlette. The press conference at the Regent Hotel was also attended by Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Branimir Gvozdenovic with associates.
Speaking about the plans of one of the most prestigious strategic investors in its portfolio renowned airlines, Emirates and Fly Dubai as well as a number of projects around the world, Sheikh Muhamed Al Shaibani emphasized that apply strict criteria when selecting partners and that they extremly liked Porto Montenegro.
ICD has purchased the shares of all previous investor in Porto Montenegro, led by Canadian billionaire Peter Munk and 100 percent is the new owner of “Adriatic Marinas” which since 2007 developing Porto Montenegro. Sheik Al Shaibani would not disclose the price of which is bought Porto Montenegro, as it was agreed that for now it is a secret.
Mohamed Al Shaibani added that the purchase of Porto Montenegro ICD considered “take-off platform” for its new investments in Montenegro.
